Mushroom Log Inoculation Workshop with Wildwise Botanicals + Foraging Hike with Rachael West!

This Workshop is Sold-Out!

When: Saturday November 11th, 2023 from 1-5 pm

Picture
Mike Snyder of WildWise Botanicals will be leading this outdoor Workshop! He has been hunting and studying mushrooms in the Ozarks for 13 years and is a regional mushroom expert. He has earned the Harry Thiers Certificate of Mushroom Proficiency from the Missouri Mycological Society and is a certified mushroom identifier for commercial mushroom sales in Missouri and Kansas. He is also on the North American Mycological Association cultivation committee and the Board of Directors for the Missouri Mycological Society.

During this workshop you will learn how to:
  • Inoculate logs with Shiitake Mushroom Spawn
  • Inoculate logs with Lions Mane Mushroom spawn
  • We will assemble larger cuts into mushroom totems (oyster and shiitake will be used for this).

After our Mushroom Workshop, we will take a Foraging hike with Rachael Wes, Owner of Eating the Ozarks to see what Wild Edibles are available in November for Foraging!

Participation is limited to 20.

Our goal is to give everyone a good up-close hands-on experience.

Each participant will go home with a 8-10 inch diameter segment inoculated with the spawn we have available. Plus a handout with tips for replication at home.
